Puddings fit for a Queen!
To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, Fortnum & Mason have collaborated with our friends at The Big Jubilee Lunch (Eden Project) to launch a competition to find a brand-new pudding creation which can be dedicated to Her Majesty The Queen!
The competition is open to all UK residents aged 8 and over, and will be judged by a panel of award-winning home bakers, professional chefs, authors, historians and pâtissiers including Dame Mary Berry and Head Chef of the Royal Household, Mark Flanagan LVO.
Five finalists will be invited to Fortnum’s 181 Piccadilly store to create their masterpiece live for the judges in the final competition round.
Jubilees are renowned for bringing communities together, and The Big Jubilee Lunch is a great way to take part. They’re inviting people from around the UK to share food and fun in a nationwide act of community and friendship as part of the official Platinum Jubilee weekend, helping to forge new and lasting relationships from all walks of life.
Fortnum’s will share the winning Platinum Pudding recipe for all to enjoy – with delicious food being at the heart of these historic celebrations, we’re hoping the winning Platinum Pudding will be the star of all street parties this year!
The deadline for entries is 4 February, so grab your whisk and get out your scales – it’s time to get baking!
